Stripe Onboarding Guide for TapToPay – How to Complete Setup

To start accepting card payments and receive funds to your bank account, you must complete Stripe onboarding. Stripe is our secure payment processing partner.

During onboarding you will either create a new Stripe account or connect an existing Stripe account if you already use Stripe.

How to Start or Continue Stripe Onboarding

1) Click the Complete Stripe Onboarding button and follow the steps.
2) If you don’t finish in one attempt, you can return and continue anytime — Stripe will resume where you left off.

Important Steps During Stripe Verification

Two-Step Authentication
Stripe may require authentication using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator.

If mobile navigation is difficult, you can:

  • Use a second phone for authentication, or
  • Complete onboarding on a desktop/laptop and use your phone only for authentication (recommended)

Business Details Required by Stripe

Stripe will ask whether you are registering as an individual or business. Provide the requested business or personal information accurately.

Website or Online Presence

If you do not have a website, you may provide a social media page link. Include a clear description of your services or products.

Payouts and Bank Details

Choose your payout schedule (you can change it later in Stripe Dashboard) and enter your bank account details. Many UK banks support instant payouts.

Please remember your Stripe email and password so you can log in later to manage payouts, request instant transfers, and update account details.

After You Complete Stripe Onboarding

Once onboarding is successful Stripe shows a confirmation screen. If the app doesn’t update immediately, simply close and reopen the app and return to “Complete Setup”.

After confirming onboarding, you will register your business address to set your payment terminal location. Only one address is required, and you can use the app anywhere within your country.

About Your Payments and Security

TapToPay does not hold your funds.
Payments go directly to your Stripe account.

The app does not store card details or transaction data. The Payments screen securely retrieves real-time information from Stripe to show transactions, refunds, and payout activity.
