How the lifetime referral income works
You earn a small reward from the Tap & Chip application fee every time your referred merchant completes a successful live transaction.
The simple formula
5p × successful transactions
Rewards are paid from Tap & Chip’s application/platform fee only. The merchant’s normal net amount is not reduced because of your referral reward.
No reward is paid on failed, cancelled, test, fraudulent, disputed or refunded transactions. Refunds and disputes may reverse referral rewards where possible.

Referral programme rules
Lifetime earning: 5p per successful live transaction from each merchant you refer, for as long as they remain active on Tap & Chip.
Paid from platform fee: The reward comes from Tap & Chip’s application fee, not as an extra hidden deduction from the merchant.
Stripe required: Referrers must complete Stripe onboarding before automatic reward transfers can be paid.
Excluded transactions: Failed, cancelled, test, fraudulent, disputed, chargeback and refunded transactions do not qualify.
Questions
Do I need to be a merchant?
No. You can join as a referrer only. Existing Tap & Chip merchants can also join the referral programme from the app.
How does the merchant get linked to me?
They should install/register using your referral link. If automatic capture does not work, they can enter your referral code manually during registration.
When do I earn?
You earn when your referred merchant makes successful live transactions.
